Abstract

I am an associate professor of biology at a small, women's college in Milwaukee, WI. As a small school with a limited budget, having open access to materials at Harvard has been extremely useful as our library does not subscribe to very many science journals. I am conducting research with my undergraduates that requires us to have access to new publications. The open access materials at Harvard allows access to many first generation minority and pell-grant eligible students that would otherwise not be able to access this information.
